Two of the most popular types of masks are N95 and KN95. Both masks are designed to filter out small particles, such as those that can carry viruses. But there are some key differences between the two masks.

What are N95 and KN95 masks? (Buy kn95 masks | Buy kn95 mask | Buy kn95 face masks | Buy kn95 mask near me | Buy kn95 face mask)

N95 and KN95 masks are both respirators that are made and tested to specific standards. N95 masks are made in the United States and meet the requirements of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). KN95 masks are made in China and meet the requirements of the Chinese government.

Both N95 and KN95 masks are designed to filter out at least 95% of particles that are 0.3 microns in size. This includes particles that can carry viruses, such as the virus that causes COVID-19.

The main difference between N95 and KN95 masks is the fit. N95 masks have ear loops that go around the ears, while KN95 masks have ear loops and a nose clip. This nose clip helps to create a tighter fit, which can improve the effectiveness of the mask.

Another difference between N95 and KN95 masks is the cost. N95 masks are typically more expensive than KN95 masks.

Which mask is right for me?

The best mask for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you are looking for a mask that has a tight fit and is highly effective, then an N95 mask is a good option. However, if you are on a budget, then a KN95 mask is a good alternative.

Both N95 and KN95 masks should be disposed of after 72 hours of use. However, you can extend the life of your mask by storing it in a clean, dry place when you are not using it.

You should also avoid washing your mask, as this can damage the filter. If your mask becomes wet, you can let it air dry.

Filtration efficacy

Our filtering face piece respirators can be used for respiratory protection against various non-oily airborne contaminants.  It is extremely effective (95-99%) against tiny particulate matter of less than 0.3 and 2.5 microns in diameter (PM0.3 and PM2.5 respectively). However, be wary of splatters as our standard KN95 masks are not fluid resistant, unlike our other respirator masks. For the purpose of protecting yourself from influenza viruses (SARS, avian flu, coronavirus, etc.), respirator masks were recommended as part of the PPE by the World Health Organization (WHO).

100% compliant with regulations (CE, GB2626-2006)

Our KN95 respirators have been confirmed to meet all of the performance requirements set by the Chinese standard GB2626-2006. They are also completely CE-certified. Please note that if you need reassurance regarding the certification of our products, we are willing to send you the copies of the relevant documents upon request!

Non-reusable (NR)

In order for your KN95 particulate respirator to effectively protect you from the particulate matter you should wear it for a maximum of four to five hours. Please do not share your mask with other people. If your respirator mask becomes damaged or dirty, throw it away. Please follow our instructions for proper user seal checks before each use.

[User Seal Check]

Before entering a possibly contaminated area, you need to properly put on your filtering face piece. To do this you need to:

  1. Take the mask by its ear loops (one in each hand) with the nose clip up.
  2. Position the respirator under your chin.
  3. Place each ear loop behind its respective ear.
  4. Adjust the mask carefully against your face, not allowing for any gaps between the mask and your face.
  5. Adjust the nose clip with both hands to ensure the nose clip is firmly tightened. Pinching it with just one hand is not advised as it might affect the tightness of the mask.
  6. Finally, check if you completed all of the steps correctly by putting both of your hands over the mask so as to not affect its position, and then quickly exhale. Depending on where you fill the air passing, adjust the nose clip or the entire mask accordingly, following the aforementioned steps. If there are no gaps for the air to pass through, you have correctly put on the mask.
